Treatment of a sixteenth-century Flemish painting representing Rebecca and Eliezer at the Fountain (Museum of Fine Arts of Tournai). Each of the five oak boards that make up the support were planed during a previous restoration, making it necessary to adapt the forms that had been amputated in the process. After the removal of the overpainting, the restoration made it possible to recover the sixteenth-century painting as well as its original dimensions by placing strips between the boards. The missing pieces were then filled in and retouched.
