Restoration of a sixteenth-century alabaster bas-relief representing a Saint Anne Trinitarian, composed of Saint Anne, Mary and Infant Jesus (Museum M, Leuven). The work, broken and heavily soiled, had once been the subject of a crude gluing that held the fragments together. Our intervention consisted first of all in undoing what had been done previously and then removing the dirt with the help of a two-step cleaning process solvents and a micro-sandblaster). The gluing of the fragments and the filling of the cracks finalized the restoration of the whole.
