My work is an embrace, as passionate as it is dangerous. The collection is based on images of snakes digesting their prey – a sharp, almost passionate gesture, like a gesture of love so intense that it becomes an urge to devour the other, to turn into the other and become one. Transported into the nocturnal urban world, barricade tape wraps around the pieces to suck the lifeblood out of them; a traffic cone is digested by a shoulder pad; a machine gun is buried in a corset; and the pieces join together to embrace the body.
