I define myself as a potter. Making a pot means creating a space. The pot is a shell, a refuge. The shell contains, shelters, preserves. Every shell is a container, every pot is a shell. The potter’s role: to create protected spaces. The pot and the house, like two mirror images, function in a similar way. Both are containers and both are shelters.
