Hchouma 3lik, (honte à toi) gives a voice to people from the Maghreb LGBTQIA+ community. Being gay is inconceivable. It is considered as a whim, something shameful, something wayward. Through moving encounters, recordings and videos, this project aims to open people’s eyes to the difficulty and danger of being gay in a culture and religion where it is banned. Some lose their lives for embracing their sexual identity while others have to escape their country in order not to be killed.
