The oral transmission of a collective imagination feeds my work, with family stories as its source. The pieces of antique furniture I use are witnesses to these stories. I combine them with other, more contemporary forms and thus include myself in the story’s filiation. My sculptures, like drawings in space, explore the links between everyday objects and popular beliefs. They crystallize societal or personal utopias.
