My work focused on the restoration of a Delft earthenware vase with blue decoration on a white background, dating from the late seventeenth century and housed in the Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics in Verviers. The main task of the treatment was to reconstitute the missing pieces and reintegrate them into the original colour scheme. This restoration was an opportunity to implement the method developed in my dissertation on metamerism (discrepancy in the coloured appearance of two colours of different compositions which nevertheless appear identical under a certain lighting) and the retouching of blue tones.
