Through painting, I try to translate my own experience of a place. To begin with, my walks. Going for a walk means walking for the sheer pleasure of walking, without a precise goal. In wandering, in the inactive pause, a different reality is revealed that is not accessible through activity, through action. In wandering, I dig my feet into the soil and find a meditative state.
